If none of you can respect the fact that there are gonna be other people with a different opinion than you, a different out look on life in general. You a living in the wrong part of the world.
Hell I don't agree with the whole lifestyle of White supremists but I'll fight to the fucking death to defend their right to have that opinion.
This has nothing to do with the fact that someone disagrees with my personal opinions or choices but they have to respect my right to have them. If you can't do that sometimes very difficult thing then perhaps you should reconsider if you want to be apart of a country that stands up for every individual to have their own opinion. If you still choose to stay simply to take advantage of the rights and freedoms for yourself that is also your right but don't get upset when someone who disagrees with you on some or all points comes along. It's just the nature of things.

Derek, I've read / heard your opinions on "the current circumstances" and that you wanted to know what my thoughts were. Well, there isn't really a short or easy answer to all of this. I do wonder about your timing to make a real issue of this but it is irrelavent. I never thought I would be in the position I'm presently in and had always looked down on those who had chosen it. My family has been down this road before as have friends of mine and my opinion was always almost the same as your own. This is something I have to deal with every day and there is no way for me not to hurt someone I love. What's done is done and morally it wasn't right by societies standards,as well as my own. I don't argue that. We are where we are now and L and I are happy. Please try to understand that, and be happy for a friend even if you don't agree, because it's a friend. It's by no means an ideal situation for anyone, again I feel this everyday! I understand how you feel and your opinion. I would like to think you might be able to understand mine or ours. I'm sorry this has put such a strain on your relationship with some of your friends. You have let your feelings or opinions be known and I respect your opinions. Please do me a favor and respect L's. You obviously don't like me and that's your choice although I don't feel you've had a chance to get to know me. I just wanted to let you know my point of view and to tell you that this is much more difficult for me than you may have thought.
Brett I would first off like to thank you for have the courage to actually respond to my inquiry.
I am also impressed that you can listen to someone else's opinion and understand that it's not meant as an attack. It is an attempt to be honest and let other people know where exactly it is that you stand and why. With the hope that now armed with this information, your friends will better understand what make you work.
You seem to be more objective with your opinion than Laura has been. This may be because you can uniquely see the whole picture. I don't know.
