Fun Day

Today was a fun day. We moved some bins, cleared off a floor and broke one part or a 2 part glass top for a board room table. It was one of a kind and the one pice was worth $10,000. The best part is that we crated them and moved them half way accross the city then 2 of our most experanced ppl had it tip and break on them with moving it on a panel cart not 5 feet from where it was going to sit.

Yoink !

One of my 3 jobs today was to toss out a load of stuff from CNRL. I was hoping for a bookcase cause I do need one, but alas there wasn't one avaiable. I did manage to save a 6 and a half foot tall section of steel shelving. Today I braught home the 4 main suttprt bars and the cross beams all taped together into a managable bunch. Ppl were looking at my like I had 3 heads while I was carring it home. Tommorow I'm gonna bring the shelfing it's self home. I'm taking one of my huge Army bags in to carry them in. ^_^

OMFG

Today I had to move some Antiques out of an office before the actualy office move on Friday. Man there was soo much Tallent in that office I could hardly work. I mean DAMN!
One of the Antiques was an only early 50's Motorcycle I wanted it so bad. Unfortunatly the owner of the company and the antiques said that was her favorite one and that she wouldn't be parting with it anytime soon. I did get to ride the thing out of the building though. ^_^

SO damn hot it peaked at 34 degrees today. I keep passing out.

Blah

Last night it was so hot and humid that I only maniged to get about 40 mins of sleep in amonst my tossing and turning. That bit of sleep was in between my 2 alarms to get up in the morning.
Once at work Jerry was late getting in and when he did Robert and Nathan had bitching priority. So I shall try to get my bitch on tommorow. The number of ppl who are getting ready to jump ship this week has moved up to 5. Most of them are looking at COI, who starts dolly pusher off at $16 an hour. When we start actual installers off at $13.

I have been getting alot of packages this past few days. The guy at the post office is becoming someone I run into daily. I was gonna open my latest aqusission when I got home today but I passed out instead.

Showdown

Let me bring you up to speed. This weekend there was a move of about 90 ppl from one building to another downtown. The move was for a company who somehow talked McIntyre's into getting us to unhook and reconnect computers. Now this would not be a problem if the ppl who were assigned to do that had a sweet clue as to what they are doing.
What ended up happening was Me hooking up half the computers and the correcting all the mistakes with the other hook-ups. Now this is getting very agravating, as most computer work can be. My solution is that I'm gonna have a conversation with Jerry Monday morning that can have one 3 outcomes.
  1. I get fired
  2. I get a raise
  3. I don't deal with computers for McIntyre anymore
At this point I'll take pretty much any option. That's the beauity of Calgary I can just call COI or RGO and start work for them pretty much the next day.

Dag Nab It

I heard back about the Welding program that I want to take. I can either take it and not take my Japanese class or I can take the welding program as full time student for 3 months which I can't afford to do.

So I think I'm gonna have to cancel my Japanese class cause I really want to get that Welding program under my belt and work towards my journeyman.

Keener

Ok. Here's the plan.
As I just noticed that I failed to post, Monday was my first day as official McIntyre Staff. In what I though was an approate move I took the day off. ^_^
But 3 months from that day I get my review, they then would subsiqulently be annualy after that. So here is what I was thinking, since I'm gonna be there most likely until the end of the year Atleast. I'm gonna bump up my usefulness. The first step was filling out my security clearance to be able to do more Police jobs. Next is I'm gonna spend the day it takes to get forklift certified. Then just for good measure get the Class C First aid and CPR Certification. I might upgrade that to a Class A later.
I figure with all that I should be able to sucker then outta somemore money. If not they are still useful to have for any future employment. If I can take this Welding course I'll also get my HS2 Certification, cause it's required in this Provence to do anything in the Oil & Gas Field.

Go Where The Money Is

So I may end-up going full circle and getting into Welding anyway. The trades out here are paying crazy money for ppl cause they all have to fight over us. So I may just take this lovely little course and then make a quick career change.
The only catch is that it has to be a night course and not conflict with my upcoming Japanese Language course at the U of C. If the schedules jive Me the one who hates school will be attending 2 University's at once. Damn I'm good.

Anyway now it's time to see if my WOW server is back up so I can play.

That Don't Fly

Right so I'm getting really pissed at Blizzards unregulated PVP. So much so that I'm abandonin my Lvl 28 Undead Warlock and just starting from scratch on a new server that doesn't have PVP.
I've had enough of being killed by ppl who are more than 30 Lvl's higher than me.

Bugger

Last night the net kinda died on me. I was not impresed since I was busy trying to corupt a young Goth chick down in the states. Thankfully though it's back to normal today.

There is still no sign of Arron, I have no idea what happened to him.

Next weekend my Cougar is doing the walkthrough on the Burlington job. ^_^

In other news Arron hasn't gotten home yet from his trip to the bar Friday night, so I think it's safe to say he had a good time.

Buzz

Today pushed me over the edge. It was just too hot with my massive head of hair. So after work I picked-up a pair of clippers and got Arron to help me get it all buzzed off.

Score

Today at lunch I found a sweet Sushi place over on 11th ave. The best part is they deliver and you get 10% off all deliverys. ^_^

I'm seriously thinking of buzzing my hair it's starting to kill me in the heat. More so when working in the office buildings.

Good Day Off

Well I spent most of today asleep. It was wonderful. Part of it was braught on by an outting last night with Garth and Arron. They got me to go with them and 2 of theor friends to a club. Well after being there for just over an hour and having to listen to the same baseline for the whole time cause the DJ sucked ass. I left with ringing ears and a spliting headake.

During one of my periods of Contiousness I finished Half Life 2. It was much shorter tham I expected. I'm currently getting Half Life 2 Episode 1 which continues the story I hope that is a bit better.
But while I wait it's time for an old classic Planescape: Torment.

Loot

I worked at Burlingtion all day today. Most of my day was moving computers around. I did manage to score 2 free brand new laptop bags that someone was tossing out. Rock.

I'm listed on the schedual for tommorow to start 4 different jobs at 7:30 in the morning. Don't know how I'm gonna manage that one though.

The Begining Of The End

The power cord for my Laptop is starting to Die. It now has to be placed just so inorder to get power to the system. I don't think that I'll replace the cord when it finaly goes it may just be time for a new laptop.

Copout

Well I got an e-mail from my cousin Lisa whom if u have been keeping up is getting married in the Dominican Republic next April.
Now I didn't receive an invitation in the mail. That was Ok.
I wasn't even told by her that she was getting married. Ya ok so your busy I can let that slide.
But to try and Copout to me in an e-mail about not wanting to add ppl cause the Hotel isn't used to large weddings when both she and I know that 4 of the ppl that were invited aren't going, and I would simply be filling someone else's spot. No thank you.

Very distasteful.

Looking Up

As if an excuse to go on Vacation isn't good enough. I may have someone accompianying me. Natalie. That's right the same Natalie that I've known and loved for years. That would just make the trip complete.

Time For a Chat

Tommorow I'm gonna try and corner Robert at work. I would like to talk to him about how he made his money. Looking for tio don't ya know. The man is worth in total 2.6 Million CND. Naturaly I would like to find out how he managed to do this.

In other news I found the books that I need for my Japanese Classes are on Amazon.ca for cheaper than the campus book store sells em for. So I guess I'll have them shipped out.

That's all for now.

Light Day

Today was a nice easy day. I could have gone home at 11 but I decided to get a few more hours so I loaded a truck and took off at 2. I'm not worryed about loosing hours, cause this and next weekend are shell moves which means I'm gonna be working both Sat and Sun.

I took a nap when I got home. When I woke-up both Garth and Arron were gone.

Trying Something New

So I decided to finaly format the computer and reinstall Windows but I'm giving Windows Server 2003 a shot.
So far it been about an hour and it's starting to bother me.

Trip Planning

I was informed today that my cousin Lisa is getting married next April. It's gonna be in the Dominican Republic. I plan to go, so I now have to start on getting a passport. Luckly there is a Passport Canada Building about 9 blocks from me.

I'm also starting preprations for a trip to Japan that Cory and I plan to take. I'm gonna be learning how to read, write and speak Japanese at the University of Calgary. I start this fall.

Fun Fun

Well today was a 10 and a half hour day. I had to split it up between 2 different jobs. Luckly they were both in the same building.

Damn Over Booked

I just got home from a 15 hour shift. Tommorow is gonna be another long day too. This is all thanks to Jim Denean the fucking Idoit. He booked 3 of the 5 jobs this weekend, and as a result all jobs are very short on ppl and we the staff are short on paitence.

I passed Garth and Arron on my way in. They were just going to a party or something.

Good Day

Today Garth and I were working over at Market Mall. Damn there is alot of "tallent" there.
We're back there again tommorow I'm told.

In other news I got my Free monitor for signing up for internet. The one in the middle is the new one. Both of the monitors are running off my one desktop and then there is my laptop on the right. Picture!
